First in Tolworth Market
Saturday marked a celebration of all things local at a new food and craft market that trialled by SHEDx on Tolworth Broadway.
The First in Tolworth Market had a range of stalls taking part; from hot food stalls such as Happy Hill Kitchen, to exciting produce stalls such as Bantamlady's Produce, and a variety of local traders and artists including The Place to Make and Sue Heather Art. There was very positive feedback from local residents who attended the market and an enthusiam to see this happen as a regular event in Tolworth.
The Market took place from 10am - 2pm on Tolworth Broadway sliproad on Saturday 8th June and also included a programme of live music throughout the event. We enjoyed live music from Meg & the Freeloaders, Meadows Music, Ivor Game, Zuzanna Wężyk and The Bolders.

Why a market in Tolworth?
In 2018, we invited a number of residents visited the top floor of Tolworth Tower to dream and share their ideas for what they would like to see in Tolworth. There was a popular consensus that a farmers market, as a place to draw new start ups and local traders and to highlight the current Broadway shops, would bring new life to the centre of Tolworth.
