Culture Recovery Fund Announcement
Updated: Oct 19, 2020
We’re thrilled to announce we have received funding as part of the Culture Recovery Fund. This will allow us to continue to provide greater opportunities and support for people to realise their potential and the positive impact they can have on themselves, on those around them and on where they live in a sustainable way.
With this support, we can build on the findings of our community survey in Spring 2020 to create a more local, more mutual and more sustainable future, and to develop ways to deliver creative cultural events and opportunities for our communities to gather, celebrate and contribute to the local area throughout the next year.
We'd like to say a massive thank you to all the communities who have been part of the journey so far, and to all those who will be part of the next steps as we continue to be there for each other in these challenging times.
About the Culture Recovery Fund
The Community Brain is one of 588 cultural and creative organisations across the country receiving urgently needed support – with £76 million of investment announced today. This follows £257 million awarded earlier in the week to 1,385 organisations, also from the Culture Recovery Fund grants programme being administered by Arts Council England on behalf of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Further rounds of funding in the cultural and heritage sector are due to be announced over the coming weeks.
